This Morning's Message from Pastor Dale

Let's take today and reflect on this morning's message.  I encourage you to post a comment.  I love the way the Lord is using the comments.  Please keep posting - and thank you to those of you who are obeying God's "nudging".  Your comments have been a blessing.

Love in Jesus,

  1. Dale's message this morning really spoke to me as I listened and took it all in. I held onto some things of the past that really kept me from all God has for me. I was living in "Egypt" and let material things keep me from God's blessings. Now that I have let "Egypt" go and have moved forward, His blessings are and continue to pour out daily! God will provide all our needs if we just let Him take control of our lives, not just parts of it, but every aspect of it! Thank you Jesus for being so faithful and patient..You do all things well!

  2. Amazing Grace !
I stumble, stall, waiver, lean on my own understanding, look around instead of up.... just as Abram did. How I love that God does not leave us there!!! God is so patient, and long suffering, He waits, encourages, strengthens, leads and gets us to our final destination! What an awesome reminder to hear the call and follow by faith! Thank you God for your faithfulness to ALWAYS LEAD!!! May we be faithful little sheep!

  3. How wonderful it was to worship with my brothers and sisters at CCEC this morning. As Dale presented the Lord's word this morning and I heard that Abram was no different from me in terms of faults and failures, and that the Lord did not say to Abram "Ok, you blew it...too bad", nor does the Lord say that to me, I realized that I have not rested in that truth. This morning I heard that God's call on Abram remained in effect even when Abram was not where he was supposed to be. Once again I realized that I have not rested in the the fact that the same is true for me.

But Abram had confidence in God, in fact Abram was "fully convinced" that God would do what He says he will. I pray that the Lord will build the same confidence in my, and that I will continue to walk where He has told me to walk.

  4. Abram came out of Ur and stopped in Haran - midway between Ur and Canaan. He left the old place, but stopped before he came to the new place that God had for him. How like Abram we can be - left the old life, but falling short of the new life God has called us to, forgetting that God calls us "out" because He is calling us "to". We settle in Haran and miss out on enjoying God's promises.
Haran is empty. I wonder why we stop there.

  5. God knew Abram. The stops. The starts. The end product of Grace: A man known for his faith. I love that God didn't drag Abram from Ur, He drew him out.

Even in the stops and starts, God still wanted to use and bless Abram. He didn't forget or ignore His promise. He didn't forget the instructions. He waited for Abram to obey.
The work God does in Abram, and me, is done in order that He may be glorified. Oh, the burden that is lifted when I remember that it is all about Him, not about me! God sees the end from the beginning.
    My part:
    Remember the call.
    God does.
